This course is a preliminary primer to navigating the uncharted legal and regulatory landscape in decentralized financial institutions. The course will provide a brief overview of core banking activities and centralized financial operations and how they compare to decentralized financial operations as well as a look at DeFi and TradeFi, blockchain use cases, industry barriers and challenges for blockchain, and regulatory developments.
